Set up Membership Tags

Membership tags define permission levels for content on your website. Each membership level requires a pair of tags.

Each membership level requires two tags with the same base name:

  • A main tag (e.g., “Gold”)
  • A PAYF tag with the suffix “PAYF” (e.g., “GoldPAYF”)

Do not include spaces or special characters in tag names.

Examples:

  • “Free” and “FreePAYF”
  • “Silver” and “SilverPAYF”
  • “Gold” and “GoldPAYF”
  • “Platinum” and “PlatinumPAYF”
  1. Log into your Keap application

  2. Go to CRM > Settings

  3. Click on Tags under Contact & Company Settings

  4. Click Add Tag

  5. Enter the tag name, select a category (optional), and add a description

  6. Click Add Tag(s)

Repeat for each tag pair needed for your membership levels.

You can create multiple tags at once by entering comma-separated names:

Free,FreePAYF,Silver,SilverPAYF,Gold,GoldPAYF,Platinum,PlatinumPAYF
